Welcome to Life is a Beach.  If you came here you already have similar interests in life.  So take a moment to consider an alternative to your normal planning.  How would you like to have a place where you can enjoy the sun and the surf?  Want to get naked and lay on the beach?  So get out your skimpiest clothes, bring your tanning lotion and give yourself some time to remember why you used to play outside all summer.

Tranquilo (Peaceful/Quiet/Calm) is a way of life here.  All the beach you can imagine, barely any tourists, and wildlife all around.  The Indians are very curious about Tourists and Expats and you will see them watching you for hours.  Don't come here thinking Cancun or Hawaii, it's a lot more rustic than any of those places.  Power goes off randomly, dry season we can run out of water, and during storm seasons we can loose touch with the mainland for over a week.  On the plus side power isn't ever off for very long, I installed a tank system to store water and even though we may loose touch with the mainland supplies continue to arrive via government barges.  But that is a part of the charm of this way of life.
